The location is simply fantastic. Bang opposite the Lido Water Bus Stop. Lido area is not as crowded as San Marco and hotels are a little cheaper as well. Water Buses get you there in 10 minutes. Double room we booked was nice and clean. Hotel staff were helpful. The hotel also had a free water taxi to Murano Island.
None that we could think of...
The location is great, just in front of the boat stop to Venice.
I had a single room, and it was a bit too small, even though there were two beds. The funny thing is that the were not one beside the other, as they usually are, but aligned, one after the other along the long wall of the room. Otherwise it would have been impossible to put two beds in that room.
Fantastic view from the room and friendly and helpful staff.
Other guests noises come through due to slightly thin walls and ceiling but acceptable.
Very good location for transport via water bus. Good views and close to the beach and local amenities. Excellent breakfast selection.
Staff often a little abrupt but efficient.
The location is excellent, right beside the ferry terminal. It was quiet, comfortable , very clean & adjacent to restaurants. The "Stella" and "Grand Vialle" were both excellent. Particularly loved the "Stella", home baked breads and lovely, plentiful pasta. Our room, at the back of the hotel, was very quiet. I wish we had paid for an upgrade, at the front, with a view of St. Mark's Square, although it might have been noisier. Some rooms also had balconies. As we are very light sleepers ,our room was fine. Venice is very busy, the Lido is much more laid back
We were there for 3 nights, we overheard other visitors complaining that the breakfast was the same every morning.
The quality of service from the staff was wonderful. The location was easily accessible from the waterbus. Staying on The Lido gave great access to Venice at a lower price than staying in Venice. Only one hour waterbus ride to the Venice airport.
Very close to the waterbus station/super market/plenty of restaurants around the hotel
The hotel is ideally placed to access the water busses which run to Venice. The staff were very friendly and helpfull during our short stay and we would not hesitate to use this hotel again should we return to Venice.
Location very convenient and good price. Excelent service and staff!!
everything was good from breakfast to booking and hotel staff. Room was well decorated, heating was awesome and should be turned off for comfort after sometime. bathroom a lil small but still served well. Location warrants few vibrations but can be neglected. good surroundings and accessibility is good if you wish to take the ferry.
Very stylish, convenientlylocated by water bus port. From breakfast dining hall is nice view to Venice.
I loved that the hotel was next to the vaporetto station. When you return from several hours in Venice, you are in no mood for more walking. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I loved the smell of the old hotel that I read several complaints about. This is not a "Novotel", this is an old hotel on the Lido. The combination was perfect for me: a room that looked aged, but with a modern bathroom. Breakfast was very nice.
The hotel is old-style flamboyant and somewhat kitschy looking, but I booked it for that very reason since we were there for the Venice Carnival. For that purpose - I absolutely adored it. Otherwise, I would opt for a more visually subdued interior.
I would be hard pressed to single out just one thing. From arrival to departure everything was 1st class,I'd give it 5stars.
Tv in bedroom needs tuned.Wifi not connectable in bedroom.
Great location, first hotel you get to when you arrive at Lido. Waterbuses to Venice only take a few minutes and go all through the night
A little dated, and small rooms
It was lovely being on the Lido... . It was a very friendly area and all the people were friendly and helpful.
a little difficult traveling but also an adventure
